GrandMaster Zhu TianCai:

October 28, 2019

We are very fortunate to have GM Zhu visiting Jing Ying Institute once again! He will be in nearby Potomac, Maryland for Saturday and Sunday workshops and at Jing Ying Institute near Annapolis on Monday, October 28.

19th generation grandmasters of the Chen family lineage are traveling less often to the US, so this is an opportunity you won't want to miss to focus on training the Silk Reeling Energies of XinJia!

Monday: 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm - Silk Reeling Energies of XinJia. The coiling movements of Silk Reeling contain the essence of the principles of movement in tai chi and provide many of its health benefits. XinJia incorporates smaller circles and flowing movements that connect the whole body and are beautiful to watch. This is an excellent workshop for those with no tai chi experience as well as those with a high level of skill in tai chi or other martial arts.

Fees:

$60.00 for Monday only ($75 at the door)

Chen Style Tai Chi is considered the source of the major styles of Tai Chi (TaiJi). The founders of both Yang Style and Wu style trained at the Chen Village, then left and opened their arts to the public. While those styles spread and became popular, Chen style continued to be taught only in Chen village and was not as well known. Now the secret is out, and Chen TaiJi is gaining in popularity as people discover the silk reeling exercises and coiling movements of the original style of TaiJi.
